"CO|TE" – a new Italian label which was established by Tomaso Anfossi and Francesco Ferrari at January 2010. Young designers showed their collection at Milan and Paris fashion week, also duet was included among the 160 emerging designers by Vogue Talents (September 2010) and had an opportunity to show up at Who is On Next? competition organized by Vogue Italia.
The main values for designers are quality of garments, attention for every detail and unique shapes which is easily adjustable in many different ways. The silhouette looks chic and elegant, calm and simple with a little touch of bright colors.
To frame the whole composition designer’s attention is kept on light waist and strong shoulders.

- Describe yourself shortly. (Individually and as a label) Do you see big difference between these descriptions?
- We both are headstrong and tenacious, but we have an amusing side like our creation. It is geometrical and people can personalize them by matching it in a different ways.
- What is the meaning of your label’s name?
- The meaning of CO|TE is shelter and protection. Fashion is like a refuge from the outside world.
- You are working in tandem. How do you find connection between your ideas and visions?
- We both create the collection and sometimes we grow up the best ideas from heated discussions.
- What was your first created item you where proud of?
- Women’s shirt with classical details that comes from man tailoring.
- What is the best thing about being designers?
- We can create something new drawing on different fields.
- What are the basic values for you as for designers?
- Volume, geometry, research on fabrics and materials.
- Why did you choose to create womenswear?
- Because now we enjoy creating women’s wear. But in the near future we don‘t exclude a men‘s Capsule collection.
- Do you have some special rituals before you start to create?
- We don‘t have special rituals before we start to create a cloth, we always pay attention to create a unique but wearable piece.
- Where do you seek for inspiration?
- We take inspiration from different moments and places.
- You are creating in Italy. Do you think that Italian style affected your creativity somehow?
- All pieces are created in Italy so the style and the attention for the details is important and it makes our clothes special.
- Your label is young, do you need to march and fight to get public’s attention?
- At the beginning it‘s hard to make our brand well-known, there are a lot of young designers with dedication and full of goodwill. Also it‘s possible to create a place in the market with the assistance of fashion blogs.
- If you can name it what is the biggest achievement in your young career?
- Everyday we have small and big achievements and that make us clearly feel which way is the right.
- Future plans, dream collaborations and hopes?
- We hope to carry on this way and to make our brand well-known.
